Restore the iconic look of your Jeep Grand Wagoneer with our Wood Panel Graphics Kit 2—featuring an innovative embedded trim design for a cleaner, more modern installation on 1981–1991 models.
This eleven (11) piece kit showcases a rich Cherry Oak woodgrain panel with American Oak embedded trim, captured in high-definition using our advanced DuraCOLOR™ graphic technology. The result is a visually striking, three-dimensional appearance that closely replicates the factory look—without the complexity of separate trim components.
Manufactured from premium automotive-grade cast vinyl, each graphic is protected by a durable 2 mil clear cast laminate for long-lasting resistance against weather, UV exposure, and road wear.
Ideal for vehicles where original trim is missing or unusable, this all-in-one embedded trim solution eliminates the need for additional hardware or adhesives:
- No rivets
- No double-sided tape
- No bulky or misaligned trim pieces
- No warping, buckling, or separation over time
- Clean, seamless appearance
The embedded trim is printed directly within each panel, creating a dimensional effect—including simulated rivet plugs—for an authentic factory-inspired finish.
Each piece is precision pre-cut to match OEM panel locations, with all openings removed for simplified installation—no trimming or cutting required. Most experienced installers can complete the installation in just 1–2 hours.
Your kit includes access to easy-to-follow online installation instructions and a care guide to ensure long-lasting performance.

A Word About Wood Grain
The original factory wood grain graphics for the Jeep Grand Wagoneer were produced using 3M Di-Noc vinyl, printed on a traditional rotogravure press. This older printing technology created a unique depth, texture, and color tone that is extremely difficult to replicate with modern methods.
Today’s wood grain graphics are produced using advanced digital printing technology. While this allows for greater precision, consistency, and durability, it produces a slightly different appearance compared to the classic rotogravure process. After extensive development and testing, we have created Cherry Oak and Marine Teak patterns that we feel closely match the original look and warmth.
Our current Wood Grain Panel kits offer richer color depth and sharper grain definition than many previous reproductions. The final appearance can vary depending on lighting conditions, time of day, and viewing angle — much like the original factory graphics.
We believe our kits provide an excellent balance between historical accuracy and modern performance, delivering a beautiful, long-lasting result that enhances your Jeep Grand Wagoneer while honoring its classic styling heritage.
Origins and Legacy of Wood Grain Paneling
Wood grain paneling in automotive design originated in the 1920s and 1930s, when many station wagons and utility vehicles relied on real wood for structural body framing due to limitations in steel manufacturing technology. These early “woodies” featured exposed wooden panels that served both functional and aesthetic purposes, creating a distinctive, rugged appearance that became iconic in automotive history.
As steel body construction advanced in the mid-20th century, automakers shifted away from real wood but retained its classic look by applying simulated wood grain using durable vinyl appliqués and printed graphics. By the 1960s and 1970s, faux wood grain had become a hallmark of premium station wagons, most famously on the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Though purely decorative on later vehicles, these wood grain side graphics evoked a sense of heritage, craftsmanship, and upscale comfort. Today, modern vinyl and digital printing techniques keep this timeless styling alive on specialty trims, retro editions, and restoration projects, preserving an enduring symbol of automotive tradition.
